@double00 -- the live versions you poast of songs make you a threak, if not board, treasure.

This version here beats out the album imho, especially with those "bab[ies]." Really makes you think what Carpenters could have been w/o Richard, whose job it is to basically RUIN the production of what would otherwise be brilliant vocal renditions by Karen. Thinking specifically of songs like 'Occupants of Interplanetary Craft,' which need not have been a novelty take. EDIT: I'll stop here, but we all know where you can take this if YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED11111111

Listening to Dave Grohl playing drums for Alex and Geddy doing 2112. It made me think of the opening fill for Teen Spirit. Grohl is not in the running for greatest drummer ever, but what hit me was, his unbridled power. Just like that Teen Spirit fill, his power on 2112 exceeded even The Professor's.

Anyway, Grohl might be the last minted Rock God.

idk ? i was listening to aic unplugged last nite and was thinking about diffuse the talent is in a lot of those 90s bands . like yeah staley is terrific but cantrell is amazing too , plus the rest of the band . to me it's like saying ronnie wood is a rock god . idk .

i like dave grohl , i'm not super into foo fighters but i like them . so far as rock pantheon i'd go danny carey before dave grohl b/c i think he's more influential to the forward sound of rock n roll . de gustibus etc
