I love the color of this stuff in a variety of the photos I see on IG but what’s the flavor profile like? What other gin(s) might you compare it to?

Curious as a west coaster, what characteristics define a NEIPA?

Oh, and I’m killing the rest of this off today. Better (to me) on some cubes. Didn’t get around to trying to mix it into anything. I’m not much of a rum drinker but I intend to remedy that this summer.

And as they say (or as I may have modified), “taste is in the bud of the beholder.” West Coast IPAs are known for being crisp, clear, and aggressively hoppy with great hop aroma and solid bitterness. East Coast IPAs are certainly still hoppy but are known to be hazy, fruity, and juicy with a soft finish.

"New England IPA" is categorical bastardization of Heady Topper/Sip of Sunshine (or arguably a less-bastardized interpretation of some of Hill Farmstead's early IPAs). The "New England IPAs" that are popular these days are very different from their ancestors. It's wild to me that there are entire breweries dedicated to this one style of beer.

unfiltered, hazy, juicy, grapefruit and a citrus flavors lead the hop aroma not pine. It’s become popular because it isn’t line forward like most IPA’s. The malt flavor seeks to balance out the bitterness that comes from hops

Citrus and floral. Compares to maybe one of The Botanist bottlings. Juniper is present but in a supporting role vs. leading man. Highly recommend.
