WEDDING TIE WITH NAVY SUIT

Hi All,

I have my civil wedding (summer/fall) and hotel receltion coming up and thought that I would wear my beige suit initially. However, I'm having second thoughts and now thinking of wearing Navy suit instead. Sorry for being a pain..

What tie should I wear with a double breasted navy suit? I have a similar suit like this one. After doing some searches online, I am leaning on going for a grey tie like this one. I'll be wearing a white shirt (currently do not own a French cuff one but also looking around to be worn with a gold cufflinks)

Bonus question: what are your thoughts on wearing chelsea boots for your wedding?
I have a Carmina chelsea that I love wearing with my navy suit and trousers but I also have a black oxford. Is it a custom to wear an oxford as groom?

That's a good suit, shirt, tie combo. Shibumi carries one (or maybe several) of that kind of tie. Go for the black oxford. Far more classic, especially for a wedding.

I think that combo looks good; indeed, in the photo of the tie you are thinking of, it looks like a navy suit to me. As for the tie, they are currently out of stock at Sam Hober, but I highly recommend those ties since you can customize the tie to your exact specifications (length, width, etc). The PoW fabric like in the photo should be in stock by March (see here).

I personally would wear the black oxfords.
