I would like to thank the kind soul who tipped me over the edge for my Wednesday posting, so that I might be seen in this thread this week. As of this morning, both my Tuesday and Wednesday posts were at 19 thumbs, a state which bemused me no end.

I believe upr_crust('s fit) is taken for granted. You simply expect the same consistency and impeccable fits continuenly and thus don't "care" about thumbing it. It would be more odd if upr didn't post an excellent fit than actually posting one.
That may be the reason he isn't featured in this thread more often. And that's from where stitches' thumbs are derived, I think. Upr_crust's style isn't always my cup of tea (loved the one featured in this thread, though) but that shouldn't stop me short of appreciating the fits and combinations.
