There are already two watch threads, one for people who care about things other than style, and one artificially budget limited. Both live on the other side.

As per public discussion with @LA Guy in the thread most of you don't read, it might be fun to discuss instead how to wear watches without such limitations. I'll post a few examples for inspo, but am curious what you wear on the wrist and how you think about it.

My G-8000 probably gets the most wear but I enjoyed tinkering with that little $5 Casio to make it more minimal. Got a few old "broken" ProTreks off Y!JP for a few bucks that only needed battery changes, as well. Ridiculously huge but fun.

For a Japanese minimalist-but-breathing look (I'm sure there's a better name), Tadao Ando's Bulgari collab looks fantastic:

It's what I'd expect Sou Fujimoto to wear:

But in fact his taste is closer to @xeoniq 's:

Different but somewhat related tack I quite liked this one:

Another fun Casio project is to oil fill them which gives them insane depth resistance. Many projects from mineral to olive oil show up on a simple search. It's on my to do but I'm into much larger (50mm+) watches at the moment.

I may get this. The G Shock Burton collabs always seem to hit pretty well, and I really do like the band color:
Could be a good entry on:

I like that the camo is moving away from recognisable patterns and towards marbling or something with plausible deniability. There used to be a world of expression in cool plastics, maybe they can make a comeback?

Even more important in Idaho, Wearing camo here is hardly ever ironic, and it's basically a no win thing.

I picked up one of these a while ago. Needed something that I could wear while exercising, going to the beach, etc. I wasn't really into G-Shock watches and felt like they bordered on self-parody with their designs, but I really liked the color combo on this one (reminded me of Star Wars Sith) and it had a metal case.

Some purists only like the digital displays, but I've never been a purist. I think that GShocks are a nice reprieve from opprossive good taste.
