Does anyone have experience with the Ettrick line of tweeds from Lovat? They are marketed as "sporting tweeds" and to be honest I thought it was just related to the cloth pattern, but then after some googling I found a merchant who carries the cloth and in the description it reads "With a Teflon showerproof coating."

I wonder if a) the coating is only on one side of the fabric, so it's important how it's made up and b) if the coating comes off with time.

The cloth is a bit heavy for the project I'm thinking of, but the idea of a "water resistant" tweed is intriguing...

I am looking for a bright, black and white houndstooth, with a really sharp contrast between the black and white, in an aprox 250-280 weight fresco or mohair infused fabric.

Any suggestions?

I am also trying to match the blue and grey in the attached pictures in a 3-season fabric that is durable and can withstand travel and frequent use. Any suggestions?

Fresco/Crispaire/Finmeresco in whichever shade you most prefer.

In regards to the Houndstooth, the only one that comes to mind is Dugdale fine worsted, though I believe Crispaire may have something along those lines.

That's a really bright blue for a suit, but if you want something like that, Fratelli Tallia di Delfino's 1936 is close (it's a hemp/ wool mix, so maybe too casual for your purposes). H&S Crispaire 332027 is kind of similar, I guess, but not as vibrant of a color. If you want a nailhead of the same cloth, see 332020.

Mid-grey is everywhere.

Crispaire has a black/ white puppytooth. 332004.

Thanks dieworker & eric.

Yes, its a bright blue with a purple tinge. But more navy than a royal blue. The closest I have come to that is H&S Cashique 254055.

The grey is not a classic mid-grey. There's a certain ice quality to it.

For the black and white houndstooth I am considering H&S Luxury Mohair 284317 and the Drago A39.025. Any thoughts on which would have the sharpest contrast?

I am looking to purchase a few trouser lengths of various Donegal tweed colors.

Does anyone have an online source or a cloth merchant contact (in the US or UK) who sells Abraham Moon Donegal wool cloths?

Abraham Moon does not directly sell to individual consumers. Kind regards in advance to anyone with good contact info.

swoon!

Barbera cloths. I just don't get how they do it so much better than others [not that I've tried every cloth out there]. Feel like cotton, hang like steel, wrinkle like hardboard.

That's amazing. I'm curious whether others here tried Barbera fabrics and how they compare to English fabrics such as Harrisons, Scabal and H&S.

If there's anybody interested in below cloth, windsor tweed, it's in subscription list of London Lounge. It's getting more interest but yet it's still short of 20m. Would be happy to get a coat length of it so if anybody else interested let me know in order to push this to 60m...

The background is a mix of browns, windows are red lavender and blue (looks green in pic but it's a blue)
