I won't mention names, but some of these agents really offer no value. 2-3x markup, don't even hold stock or offer any service. They just order the fabric from the mill and that's it. It's a shame that some of these mills are partnering with those shady agents.

This is an interesting point, I always have the question that the transparency of the internet will eliminate these non-value added middle men.

Few weeks ago I found out their main market is not in HK at all, but mainland China...where information are somewhat not as opened as we expect.....

From what I know, the HK groupie has successfully formed a group purchase before the middleman took over. Good Job !

It's allll about business and if someone can pass through a lot of orders Then they will obviously pick them

I can pass on a contact at hfw if it is needed?
They have some excellent bunches with vbc at great prices

If you guys interested by Alden original gunclub it's on subscription list currently on London Lounge. I really want to get a coat length but currently interest was around 20m only. So if anybody interested let me know.

^ Nice; it looks similar to one posted on B&Tailor's tumblr:

700

Do you happen to know the weight of the cloth? I would suspect it is at least 500 grams or more.

I believe it's indeed 500gr ranges ( 18 oz ) but similar to other LL cloth you don't feel that heavy...
The one from B&Tailor seems slightly lighter in color maybe the fabric type is different as well.
edit: it's 625 g

The herringbone linens for that subscription look really good.

On another note - I really dislike the look of B&Tailors high rise denim

I think the Alden gunclub is an original design. BnTailor photo looks like Glenfeshie tweed.

I like the stuff they make for tcoy, but the center crease on those jeans looks really dorky.

The crease is OK, but the fly seems to be made to facilitate c-sections.
