These are excellent...I went with the plain toe, all nickel eyelets, studded dainite and unstructured in the navy shell order...but really torn on whether I should add a cap toe or brogue cap toe or just leave it plain. I have a few service boots with brogue cap toes already, and these being shell a plain toe would let the rolls develop more naturally, but a regular cap toe would look really good based on your pair. What to do...

I actually amazingly enough passed on the shell navy as I have the blue's like above and really can not see having both though I considered selling my current pair for the shell.

I got my teak waxy mohawks in. I went 11.5 TTS brannock and they are too small if anyone wants to take them off my hands. They were custom and I cant return them. They are unstructured perf cap to with a dainaite studded sole. Ide let them go pretty cheap. Or any ideas where I could sell them would help too.

I don't think they accept returns, but they generally will do exchanges for totally brand new footwear...if it's a sizing thing, they will try stretching sometimes...

It's not a sizing issue but you're right about the no returns. The guys finally got back to me. They really should specify the policy on their website.

Any more thoughts on the waxy black kudu? Thinking about getting a pair.

I would go with 14 for both...I am 10.5 C on right and 10 C on left...I found 10 a touch short on right...My new pairs are 10.5, which are a bit roomy, but the length is better...especially given half inserts, erring slightly large is much safer...very rarely does one need different sizes for a half size length difference.

I saw a pair of black waxy kudu when I visited....realky nice, not a thin leather, but soft...I was very tempted by it...

Some photos of the Navy Shell Cordovan boots. Unfortunately too small for me so I'll have to end up selling them.

Dog Approved

It pained me to spoiler those b/c they are so beautiful. Really love these and sorry to hear that you're going to have to unlead them - may be worth posting the size in case some of the regulars/lurkers are interested

Those Navy Shell Trumans are beautiful! On my recent visit, I had the opportunity to inspect a couple pairs of them. I can confirm for everybody reading this thread, that they are every bit as wonderful as these photos represent.

Regarding sizing and lasts, I have low volume, narrowish feet, with low insteps, so Trumans have always worked well for me. As they update them to be a bit more roomy, which is clearly the right thing to do, I resign myself to wearing slightly thicker socks...

I know! It is a huge bummer. Vince will get me a pair eventually though so I'm not too heartbroken.

They're size 11.5. Link is in my signature.

Even though the toe is unstructured, do you think the stiffness (for lack of a better word) of cordovan will prevent the toe from eventually collapsing?

Would you please share the email address to get in touch with Truman boots? The 'contact' page on their website isn't working and nobody's answering the phone # listed on their website. Also, I wear Viberg size 10.5 in the 2030 last service boots. Should I go for size 11 in the Truman boots? I wear US size 11E in most Allen Edmonds and Alden boots except the Indy Boots (10.5D) and Barrie last (10.5D). Thanks.
