I thought jury duty was universally hated as well, but I've come across a lot of women (mostly housewives) who were actually super excited at the prospect of being on the jury of a high profile case.

Both the elevators are out in my building. One of them has been down for a month, apparently they need to "order parts" for it. This officially makes it impossible to bring supplies down to my lab until they get this fixed.

Who is the ******* business guru at UPS who thought having USPS do their last-mile shipping at the holidays was a good idea?

UPS = Always get my Amazon Prime packages either the day promised or a day early. If there is an issue, the tracking number gives useful, updated location information.

UPS --> USPS = Packages get handed off to USPS on the second day and tracking all but ceases, USPS doesn't even try to deliver on the third day, one item has to be bought at a brick-and-mortar store because it was a gift for an exchange on the third day, MrG goes to post office and deals with snotty ***** at counter who proves useless except to say the item will probably be attempted to be delivered on the fourth day, USPS lies about "attempted delivery" on the fourth day, and now Amazon has to comp one-day shipping to make sure the second item arrives in time for Christmas. Oh, and no one knows what will happen with the original order, since USPS doesn't see fit to just leave the ******* thing at my front door despite Amazon clearly placing "carrier leave if no response" on the shipping label.

Blame the sender, not UPS. They cheaped out and picked UPS smart post.

I just dumped a bottle of drain cleaner in my bathroom sink- the kind that clears "slow drains". It did not.

I have seen pea coats from some Asian sellers that were in the ballpark (not quite plum, but wine color). But I'd really like to see them in person and also their low prices "got me to wonderin'."

i like my job. but who doesnt like a day off to lounge around doing noting from time to time?

i would never want to be ON a jury. i just like the excused day off work to literally be forced to do nothing. its relaxing. all the times i have gone i start with a nap in the quiet room. then i watch a movie in the movie room. then i lounge around. then i dont get picked. then i go home.
