I bet she honestly thinks she's not racist, too, and calls herself an animal lover.

How do we know she's racist exactly?

We have no way of knowing what happened/transpired before the recording started. She's probably over-reacting but I think it's safe to say that a lot of women would feel deeply worried by some dude video recording them in a park.

We need to get past this **** of recording every silly little incident and posting it on the internet to fuel twitter hysteria and outrage.

What exactly do you think happened here? Do you think the big scary black man walked up to her and unhooked her dog from the leash, forcing her to break the leash law?

"Hey the white lady is clearly breaking the law in the video, but she has reason to freak out, take an action she knows could get the black man killed, and choke the living **** out of her dog in the process because someone is *gasp* FILMING HER IN A PUBLIC PARK!"

You and Turk would be peas in a pod.

There it is. This is bullshit.

She is intentionally weaponizing their racial identities. She knows black guys tend to get shot behind the scenario she threatens to report, and that’s why she threatens and does it. She’s not afraid of him, she’s MAD. If she was afraid she would be trying to GTFO of there, not running up on him. You don’t try to get someone killed by the police because you are mad. That **** is evil.

"Christian Cooper, 57, is a former Marvel Comics editor and writer who now works as the senior biomedical editor at Health Science Communications. Christian Cooper is a birder and says he often watches birds in Central Park, which is what he said he was doing before the Memorial Day encounter with the other Cooper."

We have no way of knowing what happened before he started recording. What you or I think happened is irrelevant and we have no reason to believe his version of events over hers.

So if someone was threatening your life, your first reaction would be to charge towards them while telling them you're going to call the cops?

That's an insane stretch and a dangerous road to go down. You can't accuse someone of 'weaponizing racial identities' and 'trying to get someone killed by the police' for giving the police a physical description of another person involved in a dispute.

I can't say it's something I've ever thought about. Humans behave/react in all sorts of unpredictable ways when they feel threatened and it's safe to say that everyone is under enormous mental strain at the moment with Covid19 stalking the world.

I know right? For all we know she threatened his life first so he started recording to protect himself. Then she ran up on him threatening to pass the Corona virus on him. He has every right to be scared of Karen.

She asks him to stop recording, he refuses, she flips out. If he was threatening her in some way, why was he the one filming the incident?

you're right, we have no idea what happened.. except the part that was taped. Of that, there are no 'versions of events'

Given what we've seen, her actions are ridiculous, and dangerous (to both the man, and to her own dog).

FWIW, it looks like she surrendered the dog today.
