been getting interested in old helmut recently. where do you people find it all? rakuten/yj looking pretty barren...

You can check http://endyma.com/collections/helmut-lang for a quick (but relatively pricey) fix, otherwise it's just lurking everywhere from ebay to y!jp I guess.

At some point, though, the selection of late nineties/early aughts Helmut has to dry up, right? Like, one day a box will arrive at someone's doorstep carrying a three decade old Helmut coat that had been bought and sold dozens of times beforehand, and as soon as he removes the coat from the box it'll crumple into a pile of ashes and Vintage Helmut will become a memory.

Not so much the master himself – well versed in the art of thinking forward. He famously shredded the remains to form sculptures out of the material.
