Chair of my own design and construction, built in 1 week out of a single plank of pine with the dimensions 950x120x50mm. Something of an experiment and first iteration, but turned out surprisingly strong

Domino joinery?

That was the original inspiration/concept and intent, but when processing the plank I wasn't able to get the required 21mm(x2) for the 8mm bit. So I ended up doing all the mortises on a big ol table mill instead, where I could set the length to 19mm. So in the end both the seat rods and all the "dominos" were made out of the same plank I used for the rest of the chair.

Nice to see a little industrial/product design snuck into the thread.

Amazing. How did you get the back to bend like that? That must have been a lot of work.
