Yeah, the black --> blue --> white fading evolution sounds pretty rad.

Random question: Do you have any good Epaulet suit fits? There was some discussion surrounding @StanleyVanBuren's suit fits, whether their cut fits his body type, and whether they yield good fits in general. I figure you wear a good amount of Epaulet, so you might have some insight and experience.

Yup, I agree that the fade progression sounds very intriguing. Going to work on wearing them some to see where I can get with that. I don't seem to be a sick fadez machine. Must be all the easy living.

I did read the discussion about SVB's suit.

I don't own an Epaulet suit, but here are some EP sportcoat and Walt trouser combinations for whatever they may show.

If we're going to continue this discussion (and I'd like to, although I'm not sure this is the right place), let me also repost a few examples where I think the suits look better than the photo that sparked the recent debate:

Same suit but better lighting conditions. The pants are hanging pretty well on the one leg but not the other.

Here is the navy hopsack version. Originally just a blazer, then I later bought the pants to match. This fabric drapes a bit better than grey super 120s fabric.

I would still probably prefer a slightly lower buttoning point and maybe even a slightly longer jacket but I don't think the proportions are horrible.

I dont think these low rise tight thigh pants you usually wear do you any favor. Something more roomy might work better for you.

I've been noticing this too... gonna have to play around with some options. I'm never going to reach Charly status, but I don't foresee cutting back on lifting etc. Small waist:hip ratio to begin with anyway. Suggestions?

Frank - I like the pieces, but the buttoning of the cardigan is doing a disservice to your body by manifesting a pear shape that I don't think is naturally there.

This actually checks out.

I also think the sleeves on the cardigan are a little too short.

Longer rise, roomier thigh, same taper. See this post by the muscleman himself:

Wow, people here really hate the word 'actually'.

Did you know it's based on the Gaelic word 'actu', which means 'to hug'?

This actually does not check out.

I had to actually google this because I didn't believe you ._.
