Just curious but is it the norm now to be plugged into your iPhone/iPod while out shopping/running errands nowadays? Don't you feel like you're missing out on what is happening or potentially can occur? Is it a sign of 'don't bother me'?

You nailed it with your last sentence.

I work remotely and as a result am a road warrior. When I'm not in meetings I'm on back to back calls for 4-6 hours each day. Having the buds in makes it easy to multi-task...or pretend I'm on a call so I can avoid small talk conversations with acquaintances at the grocery store. The Bluetooth headsets aren't my speed...and when I'm able, it's nice to throw on some music.

Gats and white/ grey or colored denim would look great IMO
