Please excuse my ignorance, why is the extra hand in the wrong place v the hour hand?

I'm really surprised how many members who post here have a outstanding nice collection of watches. Makes me happy to see all these beauty pics, good work guys!
Yeah some good stuff on here. Personally I like unfussy watches that just have 3 hands, a date display and that's it, preferably with a nice leather strap too.

FF, understood. Then the extra hand should be in the same place as the hour hand on the dial, correct? And it's not, it's on 51.75 and the hour hand is on 58.5. Both should be on the same minute marker, imho.

You are missing the point here, it's really simple, it's an extra hour hand, so the time is 10:43 and 11:43 some where else.

Spend 20 minutes the other day explaining how a single hand watch worked, I gave up after 20 minutes.

I think I get it, it takes into account the minutes. Still should be where the hour hand is, maybe it's a little slow, or I am!

Yeah he's just saying the position should be the same distance from the 5 minute marker on both hour hands. They seem off.

The GMT hand points to the 24 hour bezel, so it's 20.43 'there' and 11.43 'here'. This way you don't have to keep track of whether it's 8 o'clock AM or PM in the other time zone you're tracking, as you'd have to on a watch with a 12 hour GMT hand.
