I tried the Code 11.59 a while back and liked it way more than I thought I would. Chronograph model, in particular, is nice. Occupies the same space, in my mind, as something like a ROO, Hublot, or Panerai - something big, casual, and fun. In the case of the of the Code 11.59, I was impressed by the feel and ergonomics of the case, the articulation of the strap, and the crystal. It really put a smile on my face.

For mid to high 30s, though, I find it a real tough pill to swallow.

Look…you just sold your nautilus, so now you’re trying to justify a path leading to a RO. But the Code lame. We all know it’s a well made piece, so yes, handling one certainly makes an impression from a quality perspective. But the design is just super “meh” at best. Just get a pre owned RO…

Oooh, don't leave me hangin' bro.
No, I mean, “let’s find out…”. His biography is mysteriously vague. I’m curious about the origins of his family (parents, grandparents…) and their [presumed] wealth. Maybe my browser is just wonky today, but a thorough family bio via wiki seems conspicuously missing. That’s…odd???

Oof. That sucks. Alexander is a good guy as far as I can tell and has always been gracious and kind to me when I’ve met him. Nobody deserves to be looted like that. Awful.

Now look into the origins of his family’s wealth…?
Posting YouTube videos where you display your wealth is a recipe for disaster. Also making an additional post displaying all those watches and telling people you rarely spend time at a particular residence is asking for more trouble.😞

I always thought individuals who came from money were usually discrete about their wealth?

I agree. And this is a rational reaction to the event in question.

Right. It’s rational for a wealthy guy to aggressively show off [market] his wealthy lifestyle via EVERY available media platform for his own gain and amusement, but let’s sit back and admire his charm and innocence when the most obvious conclusion arrives? Play stupid games…
