Berthoud, yes. Huge fanboy.
When is yours arriving? My personal favorite from the show… kind of from the show.
I am increasingly convinced I made a good choice.

Watch is nice but that strap is horrible.

This might be my favorite of watches I could reasonably expect to obtain. Still a bit bigger than I'd like for this type of watch, but I could make it work. I've had a soft spot for the previous blue dialed gold hands version for a long time, but this is better.
As for the Tortue Monpoussoir, yes it's limited, but you don't have to have an insane purchase history with Cartier to obtain some of these limited pieces. A lot of times, with Cartier just having a good relationship with your SA can make a big difference.I agree that Tortue Monopuss is perhaps my top watch of 2024. I don’t understand why Cartier makes its best watches limited. Or I guess I just think it is a real pity.
The white Omega Speedmaster is in my top 3.
Its certainly a cool idea, and perhaps they figure, well people who buy this will have a reason to spend more time looking at this beautiful dial. However, I want to be able to look at my watches and tell the time at a glance, especially if I'm in a boring meeting. I don't want to have to retrain my brain to look at the dial and think oh it's 2:25 rather than 9:35!My personal favourite, so far, is the platinum Santos Dumont with the carnelian dial.
Oh, and the hands and indices are counter-clockwise!

You need to be able to perform mental gymnastics in order to read the time - or carry a mirror
Imagine that you're a high-roller eager to show off this watch to your Redbar buddies. Then you get to the meetup and see a middle-class Manhattanite who drives an American car and sends his kids to public school wearing the same watch. Oh, the shame.I agree that Tortue Monopuss is perhaps my top watch of 2024. I don’t understand why Cartier makes its best watches limited. Or I guess I just think it is a real pity.
