That dial is terrible. “Open hearts” should be banned from dials.

And I know Frédérique Constant watches have been severely underwhelming historically, but they are putting out some nice stuff. They have a nice dress Chronograph, a salmon dialed dress watch which I think was posted here and they did a perpetual calendar with Peter Speake Marin, which is not my thing but they are working their way up. PSM on the other hand, seems to be working his way down :confused2::(
The movement in this watch is gorgeous

But the dial manages to be simultaneously austere and ugly; it's incoherent, whilst the movement has a coherent design language - it's all semi circles and straight lines, exquisitely finished (as much as I can tell from the PR pics)

Curious what the global wait on a Starbucks is? (No smart areses need apply) Only ask as a friend got his within 12 months without history. And it is genuine!

It was my grail watch in college. It took me over 2 years to find an AD who would sell me one at list price. I bought it a little over 27 years ago...it's still my favorite!
Funny you mention that. I was a kid when I first saw one. Early or mid-2000s, my dad brought me on as free/slave labor to help him on a construction project at some old rich dude's house. The homeowner had on a white dial Zenith Daytona and I couldn't stop looking at it. Before we left the project I asked him about his watch. He was kind enough to take it off and let me try it on and told me about it - what Rolex meant, what the chronograph function did, and how expensive it was. I remember my dad saying something like, "if you ever spend that much of a f*cking watch, I'll kick your ass myself."

Well...

Well...
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how we learned that all of Neville's watches are fake!
