The Overseas is a beautiful watch, unjustly overshadowed by its major competitors, the Nautilus and the Royal Oak.

The best version of this sports watch is in my opinion the Ultra-Thin Ref. 2000V, absolutely stunning.

It was made the first couple of years the latest generation came out but in extremely limited numbers. I think probably less than 50 made. They just weren't big sellers when it came out.

Full white gold when the watch market was still in the ******* too. The 3rd gen was a dogshit in terms of sales when it was first released. It only got popular after the APRO became impossible to get.

Just back from an exhibition at the cinémathèque called « Top secret » about espionnage and movies. I thought this could interest you, not a prop, but a real Protona watch from 1956 with a micro.

Also really nice that it's slightly smaller than the current Overseas at 40mm and uses a caliber based on the legendary JLC 920 akin to the Jumbo and original Nautilus. Definitely one of if not the best Overseas made, though the Everests are up there too imo
