one last ts(s) tag size 5 to post - brown washable wool jersey turtleneck. same as the one nmwa's carried forever (up to size 4 in most recent years). worn once to check fit - excellent as new condition, shows some creasing from storage that will sort out with wear or iron. $80 shipped to conus.

I wish this is a size 50 :(
I have the vest in a 50 in the tweed they ran a couple of years ago. I don’t wear it as much as I should. If you’d be interested in the tweed version, I can send photos. It’s probably only been worn four or five times. Mint condition.

This is kind of a weird question but why are so many people selling their Valstarinos? Isn't this like a classic suede bomber? Are they out of style now? Why are you selling yours?
I found the sizing really odd and varying too much. But generally they’re generally too slim but the sleeves are too long

weekend closet cull - late 2010s IM fisherman sweater and sphere one collab, tag size XL and straight up NWT new with tags, wool/cash, color 403. $250 shipped to conus.

fit wears more athletic than the IM fit of that era but still solid tts. from mwa delivery to forever in the cedar locker. i've had the brown and grey versions in rotation for years - with years to go - so thinking out to the thread wild this should go.

general details here - and i think @gd|203 once waxed loquacious on the long dormant preorder thread ca. 2017 - good hunting there.

Kaptain Sunshine Traveler (version made for Ships Japan so letter sizing instead of numeric) - tagged size M and I think works best for a true small or slim medium for the intended full fit. More photos and details here. Listed on the B/S/T for $595 shipped but happy to do $575 for folks here.

The Valstarino is definitely not out of style.

I’d hazard a guess that it’s sizing as @nqtri states. I have one and have no plans to sell right now. Although I occasionally toy with getting one size up. If I ever did that, I would sell the one I have now.

Valstarino seems like the flipside of the previous discussion of Kaptain Sunshine travelers for sale. Both classic and stylish but the latter runs oversized for chest measurement and the former very small. So yeah not surprised people end up with the wrong size and selling ones that don't fit here.

Seems like you have to go up 2 (or more?) sizes in the Valstar unless you want it very slim.

I’ve mentioned before - I’m a solid 52R in all types of coats and jackets and somewhat bulky in some areas from weight training, but for some reason, I’m able to take my usual size in Valstarino for a tailored fit. I had tried sizing up to 54, but it was just big all around. I get that works for many folks, though. I did gain weight since then so maybe it might be worth me trying a size up again. I think sizing up two sizes for anyone will result in just a wrong size (maybe ok in the body, but too big in the shoulders and long, bunching sleeves).

Ah! Good to know. I've avoided getting one in part because the measurement seem all over the place. I just saw a 56 on ebay--I think from a user here?--with a ptp of 22", which to me seems like what a normal 52 would want?

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
