I'd recommend trawling the Japanese used sites and using a proxy for this, since size 38 is the most common I see of the KS Traveler coats. I'll link three melton wool Travelers here, one in beige, one in a dope blue check, the other in light grey, all size 38 (and a few going for ridiculous prices). I came across that specific brown melton wool coat last year and have beat myself up about not buying it. I think the colorway was called "khaki" if I remember correctly.

Oh also, one quick note: if you're using the Japanese sites you may want to search for both the American spelling ("traveler") and British spelling of the word ("traveller") as it's possible the British spelling is more common there (could be wrong about this, but different results pop up depending on which spelling you use).

NMWA adjacent item — An Irrational Element Western Jacket in sage hand-loomed cotton, Size M. New style from them, see more info/photos/sizing here.

New with tags, unfortunately fit isn't quite right for me. Retails for ~$360, looking for $295 shipped to CONUS (open to offers).

I don't know, I've never gotten to own one (yet). From what I read elsewhere on SF I believe you can safely size down, but it's been a while since I looked into it
I’d say while it runs roomy you should just go true to size. The cut drapes so well. Trust me. I went from a 36 when I was in my fitted phase and eventually ended at a proper 40 which looks way better and is way more comfortable.

Jumping on the Valstar Shearling WTB request train. If anyone has a black shearling bomber in 52 or 54 that they want to move, HMU. Especially if it’s the black/brown from FW21.

Somewhat related, how would you compare from Japan vs Buyee

I vastly prefer From Japan. I used to use Buyee but started to realize that they were upcharging on the shipping fees to recoup money. In my experience FJ’s shipping fees are much more honest, and beyond that I find the site easier to navigate, their customer service is decent (and they’ll even communicate with Mercari sellers for you if you want to put in a lower offer), and the coupons and rotating site discounts can get you better deals (especially as you can stack coupon codes on an existing discount for a particular site, like Mercari or Rakuten for instance).

The only thing Buyee really has that I wish From Japan would incorporate is the ability to create saved searches that ping your email whenever something pops up.
