Here's a question for the group. I just had a burgundy striped dress shirt made up, as it goes great with some stripes on a suit (navy blue with a rust check) I just had made. Question is, what pairs best with such a shirt in terms of ties. It really is outside my usual comfort zone, but it goes so well with the suit it was a natural choice.

I'm thinking navy blue, charcoal grey, maybe dark green?

I know it's a personal, not a "Toronto" issue, but this is the thread I hit up the most.

Green is the natural compliment, but the exact shade would be dependent on the shade of navy in the suit. A Navy texture would probably work as well. No on the charcoal.

Thanks guys! At least I'm on the right track (and have the needed goods). Will post the results once the piece is in!

PSA: Motoretta on College St. is having a 2 for 1 sale right now. They stock Filson, Redwing, Gloverall and more. Selection is not great, but if you can find what you're looking for it's worth checking out. 30% off single items too.

Leatherfoot finally has their Crockett & Jones collection up on their site here.

$870 CDN for the Coniston boot though...
