Pleasantly surprised to see a mainline Ralph Lauren store at Yorkdale. Prices are up there but impressed to see a broad selection of RLPL.

Went to the flagship store on Madison Ave few weeks ago. Most of their stuff are made in China now, with the exception of their jackets and suits.

Gf tried on a pair of boots that are $1800USD that are worth half that for the quality, what a joke.

But Garrison Bespoke is also made in China. Nothing wrong with garments made in China. Micheal has made a fortune here with Garrison so called bespoke.

And rumor has it cucinelli just signed a contract for Chinese manufacturer Kutesmart.

Do you mean most purple label is made in China?

Went to the Yorkdale Ralph Lauren store. The Purple Label stuff I saw (sweaters, jackets, shoes) were either made in Italy or the UK.

There is a small Polo section in the back which is mostly made in China.
The PL tailoring is top notch for RTW. Better than Zegna, Canali, etc… for the price point.

The RL store in Yorkdale is actually so nice. It’s pretty cool to see RRL and purple label pieces in person even if’s way out of my price range. Even the polo pieces they carry are mostly really tasteful and you can see how it fits in with the brand‘s aesthetic.

The gulf between the good and bad stuff in their polo line is hilarious. If I only saw the generic business casual clothes with a polo logo stamped on at Hudson’s Bay or Sporting Life I would walk away thinking it’s such a lame brand.

Uh....no. Almost all the Purple Label Ralph Lauren is made in Italy. Some stuff is made in Portugal and Romania. Some pants and knitwear are "Made in China of Italian yarn" or "Made in China Finished in Italy" whatever that means.

Anywho---mark my words. They won't be made in China much longer.
