I ran out of product while I was in Rome.
I wandered into a nice looking small salon at 10:00am while they were just opening and asked for advice.
The owner asked to feel my hair, and then recommended Kevin Murphy Night Rider.
I loved it, and have been using it ever since.
Firm hold, has some wax, but I can still get my hands through it all day and move it around.
I've used the Rough Rider quite a bit. I think I'll need to pick up teh Night Rider.

I've been using Morrocan Oil Texture Cream, which is really good, as is their Clay. If longer haired people are looking to try something new I would recommend both of those.

So are people going out for regular haircuts now? I use to get a haircut once a month. I have not had one now or 6+ months. Hair is mid length, not long yet. I am watching this Robert Geller talk on Youtube and I would say my length is close to his.

I bought a shower cap last night, not sure if it will help but curious if it is better not to wet hair everyday when showering. Also, ordered some Aesop conditioner. Last year, I also ordered some silk pillow sleeves.

I am curious when my hair will get to a length where it naturally falls down. When I get it damp I can slick my hair back or part it and in the morning it just becomes a huge fuzz ball. I guess I cannot avoid product and I would need to dampen my hair every morning to manage it. Hopefully some hair conditioner will help tame my bed head and if I continue to let it grow gravity will just do its job.

@gettoasty your hair becoming a fuzz ball in the morning is because of a lack of moisture. Are you using conditioner after you wash your hair? Always use conditioner and if that isn't the problem then try a different shampoo.

I wash my hair 3 days a week. On days I don't use shampoo and rinse my hair I still use conditioner. It's a must.

If you're talking about the Geller interview posted in the eponymous thread then there's no reason why your hair shouldn't stay down. Are you combing it down every day? I haven't cut my hair in over 6 months too and had a bald fade before and my hair falls down and is long enough to cover my ears now.

@mhip @GG Allin

Been using kevin murphy night rider for years, too. Will never go back.

I've tried rough rider once or twice but didn't work for my hair.

I've also been using some kevin murphy shampoo & conditioner recently, id say its just been OK, nothing amazing. I might try another to see if its any better for my hair type.

On length, I went long during lockdown but didn't invest in the right product to match it, so didnt enjoy it really. I'm back to getting my hair cut every 3-4 weeks.

Pic is during UK 'lockdown'; it grew for another 3 weeks or so after this. I had no idea what to do with it and my hairline isn't great either, so can't slick back or anything

Thanks @Timbaland Never used conditioner, recently tried leave-in conditioner and will see how the new Aesop works out.

I have a Kent brush ordered a few years ago but never used because my hair was much shorter then. It was good this morning so will try to get in a habit while I have this length.
