Black tie enthusiasts, a couple of things:

Looking for some opera pumps I came across these: https://www.anamarttin.com/shop/men/opera-pumps/. Interesting... I'm leaning toward the calfskin variety from Broadland.

Does anyone have any recommendations on silk hosiery for formal under $50? I already have a few pair but looking for the kind that are somewhat sheer.

Happy to report I've also acquired a tuxedo pocket square that's captivated me ever since I saw it on display at H. Stockton in ATL four years ago.

Besides Suitsupply, what are other options for a dinner jacket in 38L/40L, below $1000? Trying to avoid the super slim stuff.

Hahaha no, he really is that tall. Over 7 feet I believe.

Thank you so much! Copying the lowdown from a previous post:
  • The morning coat and trousers were purchased online as ex-rental stock.
  • Vest is from Hawes & Curtis.
  • Dress shirt from Divij (both commissioned for the wedding, unfortunately was my 1st order from Divij that needs alterations after make. These sleeves are over 1.25" too long!")
  • Pocket square is Simonnot-Goddard Archival
  • Tie is an old Polo RL
  • Shoes are Cleverley bespoke (I know, I know)

  • Dinner jacket is MTM by Beckett & Robb.
  • Bow tie/cummerbund from High Cotton Ties
  • Formal shirt from Divij (these sleeves were too short)
  • Suspenders are Albert Thurston
  • Jewelry is Larter & Sons
