Watchman, those are outstranding. RL Marlow in my bucket list. Congrats and thank you for shearing.
One of our reviewers recently reviewed the Malloch's Seaweed Newman Roll Neck Jumper. Check out his thoughts on this modern contemporary version of the British submariner jumper here.

Anyone have opinions on these vintage Allen Edmonds that popped up on my daily eBay search:

For $1,500, seems more like something you keep in a museum.
Those soles look ridiculously thick -- like even thicker than normal double oaks. Can't tell if it's the pic or actually different.Quote:
I'm inclined to agree, it seems more like a collector's item than anything else!
Watchman1, those are really nice. Do they have the polo name on the soles? Wonder if they were made around the time the Brownvellos were being produced. Dang, they're probably my size.
Excuse me for pulling up an old post... but does anyone else do this with their shells? Last summer I left a pair of vintage Florsheims out in the sun for almost a month. They developed a really vibrant, almost cherry, color. AHSsome before/after of the crockett and jones shell cordovan wingtips i left out in the sun for months before:after:hit them with some venetian before leaving them out in the sun. 3 months later the shell feels soft and lush, stillthe look perfect now and are a nice complement to the darker lindrick boot.
