Definitely digging the boots! However, I do feel like the jeans are concealing the shoes beauty in the third picture, but all around good looks!

Vintage Florsheim Royal Imperials. Really great condition - especially considering their age.

Ha! I immediately sent David / @vcleat an email when I found these on eBay at a great price. Looks like they are from 1991. 97626 model. Seems pretty identical to the 93605 save the double row of nails on the heel.

A few more quick shots. Sorry that my iPhone camera doesn't do these any justice.

You should be very happy with those shoes. I have the same style and wore them today. I am surprised that no forum members have jumped on a New Old Stock Horween shell Florsheim in 10D currently listed on Ebay. Apparently one of the last ones Florsheim made some years back. You can see it by clicking here.

Well, they're made in India. Not an unforgivable attribute, but $350 isn't exactly cheap.

True, but I never said they were cheap. But please direct me to unworn shell for that price. The very cheapest I have found, new, are Allen Edmonds seconds on sale now for $399, regularly $529. The Florsheims that are listed originally sold for over $500 and that was a number of years ago. AE firsts are currently $650 and Alden have crossed $700. If these were my 11 eee clod hoppers they would be mine.

I think Meermin moved to an Italian provider... Is that Comipel? I bought one pair of Japanese shell shoes from Meermin and didn't like them, very dry and just didn't feel great. I only have around 10 pairs of shell, but all from vass.

Visible Pick Stitching on Lapels and Pockets

  • It’s a mark of quality and craftsmanship

  • I like it when it’s subtle

  • I don’t like visible stitching

  • Doesn’t matter to me
