Hi, new here. Hope its okey to ask for advice on sizing on raglan coat.

Even though raglan coats are suppose to be a bit oversized, i feel like this one is too big on me. I want a classic more timeless look.

The most obvious thing is that the arms are too long but that is not a problem to fix at a tailor, especially since there are no buttons in the way.

Im more concearned about the shoulders and overall silhouette. Im wearing a medium-thick rollneck under and Ive tried wearing a blazer under with similar results, visually.

That looks fine.

It's a trend, undeniably. They are more forgiving and more versatile in comparison with a more tailored style, for sure.

I got one off Ebay recently and they're a versatile coat! Don't think they'll go out of style any time soon...

I have one that I bought over 30 years ago. That would put me
well ahead of ther curve. I almost never wear it as I live in California,
except when i travel to colder climes.

It's missing a button and the button holes are all worn out, but here's my balmacaan. It's interesting that the front has a regular shoulder seam but the back has a raglan shoulder (I call it a mullet shoulder). Fabric is Harris Tweed.
