Bachelet Gevery or Corbeaux. Should be able to get any vintagne for under $200. Never yet had a bad one. Charmes is well above $200 these days.

the cool thing about that idea is you can also find vintages of the CdN and Bourgogne Rouge for the cheap and store them in conjunction with the Corbeaux

Or, if you want to get some older wines at decent prices, try a vertical of BV PR or Mondavi PR. They won't break the bank, to say the least. You can easily find them back into the 80s and they are very drinkable now.

Yeah, I've seen some older BV on winebid for pretty reasonable prices. I'm guessing if we go with something French we may have to order, as Denver doesn't have the best wine stores. Definitely open to ordering though.

Not sure on pricing but Penfold Grange Bin 95. Henschke Hill of Grace would be another choice that's sure to fit the budget. Both are a bit outside the box.

I was supposed to meet a friend at this restaurant next week. Naturally I look it up and see they only serve beer on the menu. I called and asked if they had a corkage fee and they smugly told me they don't allow BYO of any kind. Not going there anymore. Only beer? Really? **** those socialist, barbarians.

i don't like craft beer. nor do i like the people who are interested in craft beer.

When I have beer, which is not that often, I seem always to have the same half dozen or so brands.

that is a beer i would drink, and in fact that's the beer that i mentioned via BoothText when i said **** that restaurant.

I can't drink beer with anything. Get too full and bloated. The last time I drank a beer was with Gome because he made me. I can't remember the time I had one before that.

you didn't have to drink it, but we needed more liquids to process the other alcohol, and because **** water.

I used to drink a ton of beer as a kid, because that's what you did there, but I do not drink it much anymore. Went to a lame happy hour last Friday, one of our old haunts that got shut down by the owner and redone into a new format, and good cocktails and wine is gone to be replaced by beer. I had half a dozen Stella and felt like the the Pilsbury guy. I cannot fathom how I used to drink it by the pitcher.

Oh, sorry. For some reason I was thinking the Hill of Grace was in your price range. For the record I collect neither but have a friend with an impressive vertical of both.
