I have some private event later in October for which I stocked up some good stuff: 2000 Dom Magnums and several 2017 Riesling unendlich (both normal and magnum).

...and here is the sneak peak:

I like sharing what I'm drinking and seeing what other people are drinking. 🤷‍♂️

This is from Beaumes de Venise. GSM with a little viognier.

I’m wondering if the crime of this thread is that we don’t post TNs. Or maybe it’s that there’s not much in the way of discussion. On that second point, there are too few of us for there to be enough people to carry any topic on very far. A fair number of people posting here have new-world leaning tastes. On the flip side of that, I’ve kind of found that I don’t think many people connect with the producers I post here - it’s one of the few reasons that I participate so sporadically.

I do actually write brief notes for most of the wines I drink so maybe I’ll start posting them here when I post a wine.

Outside of all of that, this isn’t a wine board. There’s only so much a single wine thread on an old fashion board is going to accomplish.

This is a great thread for anyone interested in looking at photos of wine bottles.

So, my last post in this thread. Are we looking for alliteration and allegory?

This is ******* legit. Tons of blue fruits, some mocha, some baking spice. Lush and smooth and handles the 16% ETOH well. I could drink this every day.

I did see your note tasting note when you posted it. When I said “we don’t post them” I hoped it would be understood that I am responding to the criticism against the whole of us (thread posters) that this thread is often a series of bottle/wine photos. People do post tasting notes on occasion. People do have interactions beyond photos. But we do also often just post photos with nothing that meaningful beyond that. I am not the one levying the criticism and I am instead definitely one of the guilty.

Maybe I read too deeply into coolpapas post, it wasn’t sarcastic, and he really loves this thread as a resource for wine bottle photos. Really all I wanted to know is what exactly does he expect to see here?
