The FIL gift case has been squared away. 9 pinots, a petite syrah, a zin and a GSM. All stuff he is going to love (hence what I like mostly) I didn't really include any big hitters this year because he doesn't seem to care, so everything was under like $50 a bottle. Good QPR stuff.

Please do report back. I had a 91 a few months ago, was still very alive. If served blind I would have guessed Bordeaux, but was very enjoyable.
It was not dead, but it was not as good as the 97s I recently drank. Fruit was present, no tannins to speak of. Acid was a bit too much for the fruit. Typical Thackery eucalyptus still there. In my experience there is a lot of bottle variation with aged Orion. Hopefully one of the other bottles is great.
