Had a nice wine dinner on Friday night. Missed a bunch of photos of good red burg. I'm sorry in advance for the photo dump. One of the burgs I didn't get a photo of was this Marchand Tawse Gevrey-Chambertin village that was bottled sans soufre that was hand bottled and labled by one of the dinner attendees. Was pretty cool.

Started with an absolute unicorn of a champagne with maybe 150 bottles in existence (it did not live up to the billing unfortunately)

And another unicorn in it's own right

Have you had the 2018? I found it undrinkable and based on a few other experiences fear Ridge has changed their winemaking style. I'm hoping this was an outlier or a bad bottle.
For my taste they are getting better, but yes it's a change.

Whats better, that or Vertigo? If you say Oublie I’ll punch you right in the face.

Oublie is the wine you drink with friends that say they don't like wine but you want them to. Vertigo is the wine you share with your wine friends.

I have a mag of 2015 Oublie. Mrs. Piob and I will be just chilling on TG Saturday so thinking of making that the bottle for the day.
