Fit pic! What an awesome find. I'm not sure what I would do with it, honestly, aside from preserve it and admire the quality. A. Caraceni is for sure a grail for me.Gentleman, I need some advice. I found this suit yesterday, which was coincidentally a cherry pop for me. I'd put quality and construction up there with the best of the best, it really is outstanding. The problem is that it is basically unsellable, being a 6x1, un-vented with double pleated trousers. My inner clothes nerd and love for finely tailored menswear would not let me leave it on the rack in good conscious, especially for $8. Add to that, that when I got it home, I causally tried the jacket on and besides having slight shoulder pads (is is from 1988 after all) it fits really well. Finding this out, I tried on the trousers and they are some of the most comfortable pants I ever put on. Not sure why, maybe the pleats hitting just right, maybe the 4 darts on the back, I don't know. However, there is some damage to the hems, though there is plenty of extra material to get rid of that problem. My question is then, what do I do with it? I wish I had the space to just start up my own collection of bespoke pieces that I find, but that's just not feasible at the moment. I was thinking of butchering the pants and making them super cropped, wearing the jacket unbuttoned with maybe just a tee shirt or knit underneath some white Stan Smiths and just saying "*******". The 90's are back after all, as evidenced by a group of people I saw outside of class yesterday that looked like extras from A Different World.
Also, it appears to have been made for this guy, who owns Victoria's Secret and once had the largest yacht on the planet.
