^^^^^Nat, my wife picked this up for a baby shower from TJ Maxx the other day.

Your baby could have been had Polo. :D

edit: Not sure if that's the kind of look you're going for, but I thought I'd throw that out there.

Thanks for the tip! Actually, the boy actually has been had Polo (well, when he gets to about 3-12 mo old he will have been had Polo). My wife and I hit a "Just Between Friends" sale which is like a pop-up quarterly children's consignment sale. We picked up maybe 25-28 Polo/Ralph Lauren outfits and onsies for less than thrift prices (GW charges around $2.99 for RL kid's stuff).

Actually thrifted this last week. He's got a few years until he can wear it but I've had things in my closet stashed for longer. :)

Was wandering a few out of the way spots in the "hollers" of Vermont, and in a church basement, noticed a large trash bag, filled with what could be made out to be ties. Asked how much, was told 5 bucks, and went home with some guys tie collection from what seems to span 1920 to 1990. Roughly 200 ties, 40 or so from the 20s - 30s, about twenty of which are these amazing hand blocked English wool club ties. Most with Bunce bros tags from the old Cleaveland prep days .

Will take pictures of the lot tomorrow.

Yeah, there were some ties in that bag-

Definitely interested in making a pair, what did you end up ordering? And did you just measure off another pair? Thanks

I ordered the cream twill chino. And yeah, I measured off my favorite pair of dress trousers and made like two little tweaks. They turned out very nicely, and I'm looking forward to ordering more.

Does anyone remember who found the old Perfecto (I think) that had the Where the Wild Things Are characters painted on the back?

Late reply, but thrift thrifted, the same price as they have for an HM cardigan. I'm guessing retail is like 1-1.5k$
Congrats on the dog!
That is a wad blowing thrift!!! Is it for you or for the bay?

Here's an interesting question, what is everyone's most expensive retail thrifted piece?

I would assume the Vicunas, but I have no idea what vicuna costed back in the old days. And this is assuming you adjust for inflation.

Saw my first lp shirt in the wild today but it was pricey also saw a pair of AE loafers in reasonable condition but they were too big.

I'm traveling though so didn't have the space for either thing and they were both huge anyway. Still cool to see!
