Some awesome pants I found for myself. Never heard of this brand before (googled it since), but the fabric feels incredible. They look unworn.

I'm sure somebody has at some point in time.  Like the dudes in the 1920's who thrifted a bunch of gold and jewels out of those underground spots, but they all got the pox and died.

I can finally join the 24k club.

Good thing I don't wear suits all that often, otherwise I'd be in a bit of an emotional state right now! Didn't realize there was so much competition around here. I gotta start getting quicker.

...and bigger, and willing to take a cart kicking and kick two in return, and be able to smell teak from around the corner, and hear a vintage derailleur shifting from 2 blocks away... Getting a mohawk and an intimidating neck & face tattoo might help. You're up against Frenchy. I hear he once killed a guy with a thrifted Mont Blanc pen into the trachea - it was all about some vicuna underwear.

Own several, not high quality, but not the worst. I don't think I would buy super expensive trendy shoes, I'll save that for staples. Get the trendy stuff, wear it for a few years and donate.

Won't buy thrifted, but will buy new at 1/2 off?
Their leather isn't great. The penny's develop really weird looking creases really fast. I saw a used pair at a buffalo exchange recently and the soles looked new but the uppers creases were awful for how good the soles were. Probably no shoe trees used...but still.

I do buy them thrifted, but I've been disappointed with quality even for that with buckles falling apart and soles coming undone. Buying on sale would still mean some sort of warranty and 60 bucks for a pair of summer shoes that last a couple of seasons aren't bad. I think they'd fall apart before the soles wore out though.

Was not familiar with that brand until seeing it listed as "Fredi Pisano" on Lindas Stuff.

I gotta respect a thrifter that goes hard.

+1...Frenchy is one of the coolest dudes I've interacted with from the thrift thread, but if he was in my thrift territory I would probably find a new thrift territory LMAO..
