Nice :D Lodenfrey is a big store in munich. As you can see, it was made by Steinbock form Austria. It is a typical mohair blended Loden Coat. Loden is great, because it is very tough, water- and windproof. Here you can see, how Loden is made: http://www.lodenwalker.at/cms/

These are basic OD green cotton sateen work/utility pants. From 1984. The yellow label was used on these sateen pieces from around 1981-1985-ish. These things are great, they'll definitely take a beating. As Tony stated, not worth much at all but great for personal use. I have multiple pairs.

Nataku or TonyLamer - any info / hints on these? I posted them here a while back and no replies so either they are mystery pants or were missed...

Heavy wool military trousers (nearly 3 pounds if I remember correctly). Metal buttons marked "Equipements Militaires". An ink stamp inside the waistband that appears to read "Agostini", "92 C" (92cm waist size?) and "3 49" inside a circle (March 1949?). Hidden buttons on the fly and back pockets. 3 buttons sewn at the top of the waistband in back. Extra wool material sewn inside bottom hem, presumably to provide longevity so the hems did not wear through rubbing up against boots. Aside from some chips to the paint on the metal buttons, appear unworn. Any info appreciated!

Second, I have skipped, skimmed and ignored every single pair of Florsheims that have been posted here since the day I started reading SF. I have left every single pair I have seen in thrifts - mostly because they were beat to ****. Gentlemen, now I need your assistance. I'm pretty sure these are shell. They're not V-cleats, but I suspect the original owner had the heel replaced. What exactly I do have on my hands?

Being 5-nail, they were almost surely v-cleat before the re-heeling. Here are mine on eBay to compare soles etc (linked cuz I have some decent pics - not to hawk wares here, and mine are not shell).

Haha as requested, ignore the messy house.

I'm 6'2" and 180 pounds. I did some measurements: shoulders are 22", pit to pit doubled is 65.3!! Jacket length is 38.7!

Holy cow that's ginormous. I'm 6'1" and 185 so I can totally imagine how big that thing is. Is the name "David Byrne" on it anywhere?

Found this at lunch. Vintage 60's-ish Strawbridge and Clothier Shawl Lapel Smoking Jacket/Robe.

Looks like it has been worn a couple times, but the pockets are still sewn shut. Missing the original belt. Should be easy to replace.
Personally I think I would add one of those Chinese Knot Buttons instead.

Tagged Medium, Fits me (44) ok. Slightly snug. Ideally a 40-42 I'm thinking.

THAT is a beautiful thing. I typically wear a Large due to height but have a few Medium jackets that fit because they have longer sleeves. So iffin' you're horse trading, drop me a line!

Sorry man, can't help ya there. My knowledge of vintage non-US military (besides Vietnam) stuff is very limited.

Any members out and about at Denver GWs today? I saw likely suspects, but couldn't figure out a reasonable way to ask people in a thrift store if they post on SF.

Real or fake? I've never seen one of these before.

Hey I was wondering if I could ask for some advice to thrifting experts in LA area.

So I am visiting LA this weekend and wonder which thrifting spots you guys would recommend. I found ten Goodwill spots around LA and only one Salvation Army (in Glendale). I understand that the West LA is the better area to look around.

I will be in LA two or three day, and this is my first time in LA. I haven't had much luck with thrifiting from the area I'm from, so I hope I can finally find something decent in this trip.
