Hey brosephs.

I have been and will be mostly absent and sporadic at best for the next few months.

While we were out of town, my daughter (yes, three daughters) came very early at 28 weeks. And the complications that caused it nearly took my wife (inorite? What is this, 1613??). So we are laid up with my incredibly strong and resilient wife recovering and my baby in the nicu.

Please send thoughts, prayers and whatever you believe in; we're out of the woods, but it will be a long and windy road home.

But most of all, keep poasting awesome stuff. Thrifting will be a rare treat, and posting even rarer. So I will live vicariously through you guys for a while.

But don't think this gives ANYONE permission to fish my waters, or that it any way negates my permadibs on 42R, 36 x 30, 16.5 x 34, 10.5-11D.

Hope things turn out all right for you & your family!

On a lighter note, guess who'll be rocking these with (adjective) (noun)?

That's right folks -- now, I'll be able to see the faces you make behind my back, all with my new novelty spy glasses!

I remember ordering a pair of these out of a magazine when I was a kid; if I'm not mistaken, you were supposed to wear them in class, stare straight ahead, but really be ogling all teh ladiez behind you. Boys Life FTW.

I do have to give one more shout out to randomore. Just got the Cashmere Luciano Barbera collezione sartoriale jacket back that he thrifted and sold me at a helluva price.

Not sure why the sleeve is buckling like that, it doesn't when I'm standing. Jacket hit my measurements, just had to have the sleeves let down.

Do you guys still pick up Zanellas when you see them?

I used to (mainly to sell on ebay to subsidize my own purchases) but lately they don't seem to sell for much, and I've been finding more and more of them languishing for weeks on thrift store racks.

My local goodwill just put out like a dozen pairs, all recent, normal colors good condition, in the old days I'd have picked them all up, but now I'm wondering if they'd fallen out of favor or something.
Yes! Only the non beat to crap ones. You can usually tell how much they were worn/drycleaned by the condition of the white tag. If minty, pick the up. I would stick to 1 or 2 pleats at most but some people LIKE pleats (just not on SF). I've never had a problem flipping them.

We have plenty of family and friend support, but this community is a part of tha, for me anyway.

Hey, at least I'm wearing selvedge and Brioni in the hospital. Priorities, amirite?

Edit: I think it was fairly obvious, but just in case, I was kidding.

(It was rlpl). :hides:
Congrats on the new addition and best wishes to you're entire family

When I worked in Phoenix my office was about three blocks east on Camelback. Used to go there at lunch all the time. The sad thing is I didn't have the brand knowledge that I do now :brick:

I'm prepared to be wrong, but I think that those are women's shoes. Might explain the tight fit.
