Weird that the tag says double breasted but it's clearly a single breast. :puzzled:
OK here me out: As I said before, two buttons, straight quarters makes this jacket just weird. Can it be that is is a DB that was modified to be a single breasted because the guy gained a significant amount of weight?

Been a bit, gang, but I don't want y'all thinking I've been off my game. Nah, I've been in "gathering mode", getting ready for the scorching AZ summer that's just begun, and the need to stay inside in the AC taking pix and listing (my least favorite part). Already 108F yesterday. Sigh. And I loaded my trailer in it. Brutal. Problem is I now have SO. MUCH. STUFF. Good stuff, but overwhelming. So kudos to whoever posted that they got their backlog handled (@txwoodworker, maybe?), as that's my next mission. Hard to believe there's an 8 foot clothing rack (full) buried underneath all this.

I can't even get to my work desk, lol.

There are more boxes in my storage shed (sweaters, outerwear, shoes and boots), but you get my drift . . . I have been so busy I haven't had the time to photograph and post finds, so I'll post a few as I dig them out. But meanwhile, from the auctions, a Klipsch soundbar and sub (Cinema 600) for $25 (already in service for Dune), and a box lot of Sonos (including an Apple TV 4K) for five bucks. Yes, that's another pair of croc shoes, David Edens, from the same donor as my recent Zellis.

Anyway, I bought another doublewide mobile home at an abandonment auction last week. Paid $5668, so I have three now, including the one I live in. The other two are on the market for $100K each. Not like real-estate money, but still . . . The good news is that the latest one doesn't need to be remodeled, so I just had to do a clear-out and clean. Problem is the lady was a hoarder, and had a 50-count of everything. My beloved Mexican housekeeper (documented, lol) had a field day, driving off with her van loaded to the roof with stuff, and her entire family coming over that night to go through it. I love being able to give things away and make people happy. I mean, the lady who passed away had literally thousands of makeup items that were too small-dollar for me to deal with. Another few SUV-loads went to the local women's shelter, and the crap to GW. However, the former owner also had some bonkers high-end stuff: this pile is mostly NIB stuff from skin care lines by Lavelier and Truffoire. I looked it up last night and put it in a spreadsheet: $40K on the companies' websites. eBay sold items puts it at a return of around $4500 at quick-to-move prices, so that's decent.

This "syringe" is $1250 on their website.

This Jelessi Jade "Eye Wand" is $1750 on their site.

And this Space Touch "Jupiter" skin thingy is a nutty $7200 retail. Whaaaat? These gadgets were all purloined by "her ladyship", needless to say. Fine! That's what greases the skids of "you're gone all the time".

I also dug out 110g of 14K jewelry ($4K or so on the melt) and $700 in cash from various handbags, so all in all a good buy and worth the week spent clearing it out! Selling it fully furnished with all the nice Ashley furniture that was already in it, and three wall-mounted smart TVs. Hopefully a fast flip, since 'tis the season.

Back to regular thrift clothing finds for my next post, whenever that is. Rock on: you're bringing it!!

P.S. @StanleyWingtip: :slayer: Best tie pickup in recent memory . . . Congrats!!

I don’t think so but let me double check when I get home. In other news, another good start to the morning.

That was me, though I'm back to about a 4' tall single stack + some strays. Not quite as bad as before, but it's time to tackle it again. Been taking too many trips.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
