RIP Martin Greenfield. Wow, what a story . . . Gift article for y'all . . .

Synchronicity I saw a recent orphan jacket by Greenfield yesterday and was bummed I couldn’t find the pants because it was likely perfect for personal use. I have pretty much stopped looking at shoes but found these Enzo Bonafes. Pop on Harris Wharf though the hype was short lived it looks like.

I've noticed Kits seem to vary in construction. I'm not sure if it's just different eras of craftsmanship, pieces made for different stores/markets/regions or there's MTM ones that are supposedly more handwork but are they tagged specially? I haven't seen any special tagging or designation. I've seen MSRP's of like $650-950 for cotton, linen, etc shirts.

Just rolled my chair over to my shirt rack and referenced the only one I have nearby and yep there's visible pick stitchies along the side seams but there's also a fine SPI machine stitch there if you look on the back or pull the seam tight. That handwork is somewhat of a top stitch and same on the sleeves. The hems are totally hand done though as well as the usual places - collar, cuff, buttons and buttonholes. There's quite a good many of hand done stitches and the machine stitches that are there are pretty finite and high SPI count. This one has an inner material/order label stitched in still so maybe it's more recent.

Yes, I noticed that they have dress shirts that look similar but one type costs €490 while the other type costs €740. The descriptions for them are more or less the same, with the same mention of 22 work steps and hand-sewn seams. Hard to tell where the €250 difference goes.

That fact that we are talking about a €250 difference between shirts says something about how obscene their retail prices are.
I thrifted a pair of Kitty casual wool pants a year or two ago. When I looked them up on the website I was astounded to find that retail was $1600. Like, what?

All 3 of my kitty cats have hand stitched seams if I recall.

Though, the lilac one is one of the nicest shirts I’ve ever seen.

AE, Ralph Lauren tie and a bunch of suspenders in good condition.

There are some stains on the shoes that won't come off, I'm not sure what I should try.
