' see what happens ' ? what does that mean ? you just posted it here and it got flagged as a fake
Just to be clear, the "you" in this comment will be referring to @WoolyLamb, but I wanted to build off of double00's comment.

To add on to this -and I can only speak for myself here- I think that the damage to your (WoolyLamb's, presuming he reads this) reputation as an online seller would be irreparable, especially since your original comment seemed to show that you were willing to try listing the item despite having its authenticity questioned. I would strongly advise keeping it for personal or disposing of it, as the optics of a seller knowingly listing a potentially fake item would steer me far and away from ever considering purchasing an item from them.

If I listed it and that is a big if at this stage since I can return it. I would mark it as like or knockoff or something to that effect just like damage or anything else to note. The see what happens was referring to whether or not ebay would remove it. I have no idea how that works at all.

I would never try to pass something as authentic if I knew it was not. The hassle and drama is not worth the impact to my rating like you said or a few bucks.

I’ll save you the experiment: you will at some point get caught and may lose your selling privileges permanently. It’s also illegal so don’t try selling locally either. There are secret shoppers that shop flea markets and so on looking for counterfeits, and best case you’ll get a hefty fine here, keep doing it and prison is a good likely. Just destroy it, it’s probably made of some kind of toxic synthetic material.

Can we put this to rest? I understand. Won’t be listing. If the wife doesn't want it then it is going back.

Im curious how thrift places can sell fake things?

@flipstah old. This area is very old but I don't know quite how old.

Thrift stores aren't as knowledgeable as us and don't get paid enough to care if sh!t is real or not. They don't do it on purpose I don't think, but how many times have you gone to a spot with 3-5 clearly bunk Louis Vuitton bags behind the counter
