Look what my mom pulled out of the scarves at a quick thrift stop today. It's massive, 34" x 35". I'm thinking of framing it.

a bit of gieves synergy - i posted this more recent db overcoat already:
IMG_6177.jpeg

very nice but not true bespoke, despite the label
IMG_6180.jpeg

US made, by hickey freeman maybe? anyway, my first thrift run post covid was to the nearest goodwill where I found a distant relative on the end of the mens outerwear rack:
IMG_6154.jpeg

pow check tweed balmacaan, fully reversible to a gray cotton poplin material
IMG_6150.jpeg

always check the pockets! i’m thinking 40s or 50s? pre hawkes anyhow
IMG_6151.jpeg

paid up a tad at $40, but on my to the register i snagged this amazing mid century easel for five bucks which eased (hah) the blow somewhat
IMG_6155.jpeg

sans frame holder, but stunning patina and craftsmanship throughout

ps @eazye thanks for linking the overcoat thread! gives me an excuse to break out some old favorites

Record record haul.

Almost all stuff I'd actually listen to, but I'm prob gonna end up letting a lot of it go. $1 each. I have a bunch of duplicates too.

Stoked about the jazz, the dead records, the sabbath stuff -- all of it really.

Good jazz is hard to find. Ascension is an all-timer.

I remember when one of the last stores in my town that sold vinyl new closed down when I was a kid. I believe it was called peaches. I miss the large album cover art.

@eazye: Thanks, now I know what Escorial means. I think I have seen the label before, but I figured it was a brand.
Well, technically, it is a kinda-sorta brand. Google "Peter Radford" for more. That said, even though he branded it, it's a totally awesome wool. Pretty much indestructible.

Been a few weeks since I posted, but I have been focusing on catching up backlog, and I don't generally like doing double posts . . .

So here's a couple of doofus pix from Flagstaff AZ today with my Navajo princess: I guess we would call it X-C skiing thrift fit.

Me: Wu Tang beanie, Kuhl sweater, RB shades, Patagonia nano puff, Patagonia pants, UGG boots (not pictured, left at ski rental center).
Her: Veuve Clicquot headscarf, Patagonia waffle fleece, Burton pants, Scott shades.

Everything thrifted, all the time . . . A$$ kicking workout . . . Awesome frickin' day . . .

I wonder how many 49ers gear we'll see this week.
