In the wild.
Left it, as they had it priced high.
Pretty sure it was legit.

I think this may be a Burberry knockoff but I couldn't leave it for $1. Handrolled edges, silk feels nice but no tags....anyone seen a Burberry pattern like this before? A Google search while in line was unsuccessful.

Novacheck should have 4 white squares in the middle of the check. For future reference.

Barbours reproofing and repair center in USA used to be in Milford NH, attached to one of their outlet stores. It was awesome, they would get things from around the country needing work, and if the customer didn't want to spend the money, and it was not too badly damaged, they would repair it and put it out on a rack in the store. I gpicked up some sweet vintage Beauforts and bedales over the years. They moved to North Carolina, but New England Waterproofers is a few of the guys that worked at the Milford location for years, and didn't make the move down. They do excellent work, have used them 4 or 5 times over the years, it is same quality work you would get if dealing directly with Barbour.

One stop.

Catch and release on this guy. Had some spots and the market for ivory dinner jackets just isn’t what it used to be.

I did buy this, though.

The cassette market is heating up. I was pretty happy to find these. I never thought cassettes would make a comeback. Guess I was wrong. Haha.

Lunch time stop and grabbed a pair of vintage Sears his-and-hers crewnecks. How can you tell if something is loopwheel knit?

For: vintage, no side seams but that doesn’t for sure mean loopwheel, supersoft and irregular inside

Against: cotton poly blend, dunno if they even made loopwheel blends

Pylon is one of my all time favorite bands, fortunate to have seen them a few times live many years ago. Also dig Fetchin Bones, saw them a number of times in Atlanta and Athens, GA in the late 80s/early 90s. Nice finds!

@Ds13 sweatshirt fleece is basically jersey with a floating pile ( lol ) on the wrong side , loopwheel is really about how the jersey itself is knit not the pile .

and tbh the loopwheel process really does change the character of the knit compared to to usual way , and i would say most especially with all cotton yarns . unless your stuff is from like the 50s it's unlikely to be made on a loopwheel machine , idk quite when they stopped using em tho .

so most likely either regular sweatshirt or french terry which is hard to explain the diff without having examples in hand , terry drapes better typically sort of looser and not so chewy as sweatshirt fleece . the loopwheel stuff is even chewier at its best and most classic . $.02 !

i'll edit to add either process can be on a circular platform , side seams aren't an indicator
