Damn where are people getting these for $10-30? I imagine its estate sales, yard sales, charity shops, etc who think that "Seiko" means its a cheap battery powered thing with little value.

I'm in the club. Got this one a year or two ago for about $30. It's from 1970 based on the serial. Running well when I got it and I replaced the pusher gaskets myself. Wish I had the bracelet.

Been looking at getting a new 6139 bracelet, probably the H style, for mine.. Check out Uncle Seiko for straps/bands as they make some pretty accurate swap-in bands:

Looks like they probably got sued and aren't called "Uncle Seiko" anymore, just "Uncle Straps" or "Uncle" lol.

Beautiful.
That’s my grail watch but in black PVD
I've only had it a few hours, but its pukka. The black one would you suit down to a T.

It isn't sunglasses weather here in NorCal this morning since we're under an "atmospheric river" storm which is dumping rain down on us. We need it though.

Still, I'll never complain about finding Maui Jims in the eyeglasses basket. Here next to my (non-thrifted) Datejust, which since I bought it in 1998 is now down to less than $0.50 a day with no issues, so worth a little brag anyway.

This thrifted Pulsar looked like a Sears watch with the original Twist-O-Flex style band, which was too small anyway.

But it cleans up pretty good with a natural color shell cordovan band I bought on the Bay a few days ago.

Still a crap watch but it's thin and looks OK from a distance, for occasions when I don't want to risk damaging the Datejust.
