So even crazier, those cream pants I just bought/posted here:

Woah, been a bit... hope everyone is doing alright. First stop back to thrifting in the last 8.5 months was a strikeout, second was okay, but noticed something odd when I got home... the original buyer must have despised side pockets on pants - even the cashco’s aren’t actual pockets. The jacket is sadly ventless (otherwise it would have fit me rather well). Additionally, cream pants are 100% see through. Clearly need to knock the cobwebs off my thrifting skills.

Turns out, the color appears to be an exact match for a cream Zegna tux jacket that I bought back in May 2019...

Well... I'll spare you the one you know I'll mention. Lol!

I've found more desirable apparel, but the item I probably wear the most is this 1964 C series Ralph Edwards G-1.

$3 e-thrift. "I feel the need... The need for speed."

Another would be this seemingly bespoke late 70s jacket made for a long defunct "leather bar" in San Francisco. Details are really cool. Buffalo and Indian head buttons, bi swing back, feels like thick horsehide and I dig how the "T" design on the back extends to the seams on the 2 piece arms.

So I know this thread is mostly about posting what you recently found, but I thought it would be a cool share to see what is

1) The best item you’ve ever thrifted or couple of items (doesn’t have to be the most valuable or expensive)
2) What item or brand of item have you never found or find really rarely

And I’m still searching for that Kiton menswear.

True thrift?
downloadfile.jpg

Er, what is that, a pocket square on a table or a rug on a floor? Whatever, it's your best thrift ever because of high profit margin (yeah!) or because it's the best damn rug or pocket square you've ever seen (yeah! withheld pending).

No offense intended. I have a bear skin rug though I didn't shoot the bear, but obviously someone did, or the bear just got too warm.

It’s a blanket on the floor. I haven’t sold it, and it’s not going to be sold either.

I, too, have a blankie that I cherish.

But seriously, good blankets are worth their weight in gold as far as I'm concerned.
