These are so legit. Nice haul
Dude I was so stoked to find them. They were sitting behind the counter and I immediately asked to see them. Saw the tags and was like, yeah let me get both those. AND only $40 a piece which is crazy because like @Fueco said, prices been going up on outdoor sh!t around here. I used to have a gray one but the fur hood was torched so I eventually sold it and have wanted another one ever since.

Those are such a steal. The down alone in those is worth a ton. I always have good luck with outdoor gear. Lots of people getting back out there or want to dress like they do.

What is the criteria usually for things being held behind the counter?

Whatever they "think" is valuable, which is why it was weird they were only priced at $40. Because they had other jackets on the regular racks at $40 and higher. 🤷‍♂️

Y’all know one of my favorite thrift finds is Champion Reverse Weave. This New York Rangers version is killer with a heavy, embroidered logo. Unclear on age but I’m thinking 90s. Most people date the all blue tags to 70s/80s but those tags don’t show international sizing like this one does and the sweatshirt feels newer.

Does anyone know what the thrifting scene is like in California's Bay Area? Might head up soon and would love to stop by some stores.

There’s another Bay Area?

It’s pretty sweet thrifting there, though it’s been eight years since I lived there so it’s probably not like it used to be.

I found this old Paul Stuart Sport puffer but didn’t cop it. It was a rip stop type fabric called “gore Loft” in about a size Large. It’s probably still there, but was in a mustard colour and too short in the sleeves for me, I couldn’t find any completed ebay sales or much info online so left it but imagine it would have been filthy expensive new. I’ll put together a post of the latest thrifts soon.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
