I have found a few nice ties lately and I definitely see the potential in certain locations, but a lot of you guys consistently pull modern/recent ties that are really nice. I swear probably 80% of the thrifts I visit have ties so wide and patterns that are legit unwearable. Lol

I posted a fairly decent haul of ties on Saturday, 10 I think. Today I looked at in excess of 100 ties at two stores, mostly wide and in ghastly patterns. I found not one tie worth picking up. It could well be months before I find another good tie, let alone 10 at one time.

I have this same sweater in Shetland wool. The weave, the pockets, everything about it are exactly the same so I’m guessing yours was probably made for Sulka by J&D McGeorge. They made mine for the recently defunct Carroll & Co. of Beverley Hills.

Found a secret tie stash in one of the stores. The regular tie rack is hard enough to find; for some reason there was a second, overflowing location that yielded thirty ties. Valentino, Armani and Balmain made me happy. Remember when those trippy big paisley Talbots were fetching a bunch of dollars?

So this, along with a discussion I had with my brother last night, made me remember that I had some sort of Kobe jersey out in my inventory in a box with other b-ball jerseys. Went out just now to check out what it was, whether it was a higher end one or a cheapo.

Im not 100% certain, but I think that label is from the mid 2000s to maybe 2010.
