After 3 gentle coats of Bick 4, gently putting shoe trees into them and then another 2 coats of Bick 4:

Starting to come back alive. These were so mis-shaped, dry, moldy and had probably never seen shoe trees ever. Still a long journey until finished!

Read your caption then saw only the first pic on my screen., in my head I was saying "hmm....good work." Looking good though man!

This is one of the few pairs you really have to be careful with due to age. If I had just rammed the shoetrees in when they were fresh from Goodwill, they may have cracked. These are probably going to be my best work, restoration wise. I may even consider sending them out to Alden for new insoles and rubber heeltabs.
