I think this is my first true thrift lbm 1911, and it's one of the nicer ones I've found. Please hit me up if this is your size and you have a 48 to trade.

Took a half day today and hit up some other thrifts in SF

Not a huge menswear selection, but prices were okay. There were some double RL black selvedge for $11. Probably a tad too big and they didn't have a dressing room. Was gonna give them a shot, but uncuffed the legs and the folds were wearing halfway through the denim.

Went into a (typically-overpriced) vintage store on a whim... Was about to leave empty-handed, when I spotted this guy behind the counter.

POP!

I'm out a Benjamin, but I think it was worth it. Velvet (probably a silk velvet) with silk belt and quilted silk lapels. The striations you see in the velvet are an actual pattern, not wear.

Teeny hole in one shoulder, but who gives?

OK, first off, not true thrift.
But a friend of mine knew someone who was downsizing and had a "lot of tweed looking things that you like". So I went to his house today and pretty much left the guy with only underwear and socks.

In this post :

- 145 ties, about 120 Paul Stuart, maybe half made in England/France by Drakes/Seaward, and maybe 30% overall NWT. The rest vintage Brooks England and J. Press madders, repps and neats.
- 20+ bowties, most Paul Stuart or English made randoms
- 52 shirts, all Paul Stuart, about 1/3 Coopers and flannels, all spread collars
- 5 Scarves as seen and one vintage Brooks Brothers English made unlined deerskin gloves
- 9 Belts, all Paul Stuart including an Ostrich, a Croc, and a sick double sided goatskin (keeper)
- Smattering of hats as seen, including two 90s PRL longbill bicolors which I have never seen before, fedoras are all crushable Fortnighters and bands are pheasant feather and leather, not your standard grosgrain
- About 20 knitwear, most all Paul Stuart and all cashmere except the J. Press Shaggy dogs. Turnbull & Assers are gorgeous.
- 3x Stubbs, all my size (NA), and nearly NWOB Lobb William I Dubmonx and Red Norvegese construction Paraboot

I have to do the outerwear and SC's and waistcoats but Im starving and need a time out but youll want to see that too. I leave you with one tease, the sickest Schott Perfecto I have ever seen, perfectly sunfaded to a ghost grey. You cant buy patina like this.

PPU about 9.

Hope this makes up for my lack of posting lately
