Newer BB model called Cambridge, which apparently combines the fit of milano with trad details (3 roll 2, hook vent, undarted front, etc.). Unlined.

I ventured out into the mayhem of 50% Saturday last week (usually to be avoided at all costs, but I figured one store couldn't hurt) and had some luck:

ppu: ~2.83

pop! on rolex. made in italy and cost a buck; not terribly valuable but it fits well and has a likeable funkiness. PRL was also a dollar. Zegna sport is hit or miss, but this cream/marine reversible raincoat (plus stowable hood) is really nice.

5$ for a reversible jacket is basically two jackets at $2.50 each. My kind of math.

Sweatshirt heat: blacked out adidas crewneck miusa with some interesting details, vintage miusa felted "USA" crewneck (for cool people only), and a grail hoodie: triblend, reverse weave warmup, miusa andd...

**** yeah. The real deal, straight out the United States Marine Academy with like no wear (except a missing hood cinch). Cannot believe this made it past noon on sale day.

Some more choice cuts from the past couple weeks, including some pieces I've been hunting since I started thrifting:

minty hawaiian camp shirts with all the right specs: wooden buttons, collar loops, etc. The good stuff?

michael bastian x2, brooks bros black fleece x2, all from the same dude. Did someone recently say bastian x italy = cucinelli? Or am I making that up?

two great checked shirts for me: the first piece of faconnable I've picked up for personal use - linen with big mops - and a nwot flannel from blue & cream's house line, retail ~$220

first piece of valentino for myself, and a pop! on v. westwood

gold silk with black mops and flap pockets. Baller, if a bit wrinkly.

tee medley - sesame street, vintage prl, vintage bean, cool malo woven tee for me, and pop! on bbc

And two personal grails I won't be able to use til fall:

a beautiful scottish cashmere turtleneck in burgundy, and a cashmere saks blanket. Thing is huge!

neat amateur gatsby painting and crispy fresh spicoli vans for added perspective.

two absolutely killer leather goods

I've been looking for the perfect gator belt, and this one from the Brooks Brothers of yesteryear is everything I could have hoped for. Current gator belt on on the BB website retails at almost a cool grand(!). pop! on ghurka suspenders, does not get any sturdier.

and finally-

the Thrift is flat circle - you can really taste the psychosphere once you hit the t shirt rack. Maybe the best part of this find is the ~ 40 seconds/store I save not scanning the mug section at every stop.

Authenticity check?

This seems like an extraordinarily unusual piece to fake, but the internal tags are askew, it's apparently made in Hong Kong, the buttons lack monogramming, and the hearts are printed onto the fabric, rather than part of it (hence the wear on some of the hearts).

Have I popped Prorsum, or been duped?

Also, this one is DEFINITELY real, right?

Also, in fakes news, I had a heart-stopping moment today with what turned out to be quite a good fake of a Chanel quilted chevron bag... The shop was asking $300.00, so I had to be damned sure.
