I just mean that a full yee haw outfit might not work on everyone. If you are baby-faced or even if you wear the wrong glasses it easily looks like costume.I don't have any experience with this sort of hat, so I'm wondering, how would his face determine whether the hat works?
Looks great. Are there patches inside the pockets or are the frayed edges stitched against the body of the shirt? I'm just curious because it's really tough to stitch a backpatch inside a small pocket like that.
Luckily I don’t have a baby face, I have what my wife calls a permanent 45 year old face (we first met when I was ~27…)
Going to my daughter’s birthday party definitely get looked twice more on the street (probably as in what’s this guy doing), though as always kids are the most inquisitive ones, so if I embarrassed my daughter in front of her classmates then I call it mission accomplished.
Got to start this before she becomes teenager then I’m just permanent embarrassment anyway…

Yeah, I see that, interesting. So, they did the repair in the factory before they even put the shirt together. I've been suspecting that's the case on @LCS1509's shirt as well. Otherwise, the pocket wouldn't be useful. Thanks for posting.Your comment made me curious and look closer at a worn and patched Polo western I've got.

If you look closely, you can tell the sashiko stitching was done on the pocket before it was sewn onto the shirt. The gold stitching goes over the blue sashiko stitches on the edge of the pocket.

I’ve got some experience there, so feel free to reach out lol. Can still remember the day my oldest said it was not cool for me to hold her hand when I’d walk her across the parking lot into school. Ouch.
Thanks! Have a pair ordered—hoping they work out. Also, be aware that RRL uses vanity+2 sizing. For example, RRL size 30 fits a 32" waist.
Hat works but the ensemble is intensely yee-haw, which might or might not work depending on context, courage and—to a large extent—your face.
I basically see where you’re coming from. I’m in Chicago, and I would not be comfortable in full-blown, bold, head-to-toe western. I also shy away from what I call “fancy” western, i.e. things that are embellished with lots of decorative stitching, piping, studs, vibrant colors, etc. I wear a fair amount of western, but it’s what I’d call understated, which is exactly what @clee1982's outfit looks like to me. I definitely don’t think it’s "intensely yee-haw". His outfit is solid black and brown and doesn’t have any of that “fancy” stuff. If he were to add a large rodeo belt buckle, a bolo tie, and a bandana, that could also put it over the top in NYC. As far as having the right face for it, I don’t see how anyone could make that call. Anyway, there’s tons of room for differing opinions on this, and I’m not trying to be argumentative. I just think what he’s wearing is actually a pretty cool move for NYC and I take my hat off to him! (Terrible joke, but I couldn’t resist!)I just mean that a full yee haw outfit might not work on everyone. If you are baby-faced or even if you wear the wrong glasses it easily looks like costume.
